MindSprout (Android Package ID: com.brainpal.app) is built with a strict 100% On-Device Privacy architecture. We believe your screen habits and attention data belong solely to you.

1. Prominent Disclosure: Android AccessibilityService API

MindSprout uses the Android AccessibilityService API (MindSprout Focus Guard) solely to provide its core digital wellbeing features requested by the user:

  • Detecting when short-form vertical video feeds (such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Snapchat Spotlight) are actively scrolled on screen.
  • Incrementing your local daily reel counter and displaying the focus blocker overlay when your self-configured daily quota is reached.

Zero Data Collection via AccessibilityService: MindSprout does not read, store, log, or transmit your personal messages, passwords, keystrokes, photos, or screen content. All accessibility event checks happen transiently in device memory and never leave your phone.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All app data—including your daily reel counts, streak history, and quota settings—is stored exclusively on your Android device using local Room SQLite and Android Jetpack DataStore storage. We do not operate external analytics servers or cloud databases for your usage statistics.

3. Subscriptions & Google Play Billing

Subscriptions for MindSprout Pro (mindsprout_annual_pro) are processed directly by Google Play Billing. MindSprout never receives or stores your credit card, debit card, or UPI credentials. Google Play provides the app only with a cryptographic purchase token to verify your active subscription entitlement.

4. Third-Party Sharing & Advertising

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties or advertising networks. MindSprout contains zero third-party advertising SDKs.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because all usage data is stored locally on your device, you can erase 100% of your data at any time by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling MindSprout.
